Precision Shims is our own range of thin stainless shim washers, launched in 2025 and setting a new benchmark for quality and reliability — designed, made and certified by PTS.
What shim washers do
Shim washers take up small gaps and set precise spacing or alignment between components. They’re used to adjust tolerances, level assemblies, set bearing pre-load and fine-tune fit where an ordinary washer is too coarse.
Why precision matters
The value of a shim is in its thickness tolerance. Precision Shims are made to tight tolerances in corrosion-resistant stainless, so a given thickness is repeatable from one washer to the next — predictable, reliable spacing every time.

- Alignment & levelling of mounted components.
- Bearing and gear pre-load adjustment.
- Tolerance take-up in precision assemblies.
Grades & certification
Available in A2 and A4 stainless, supplied with full material certification, batch numbers and traceability — as standard on a PTS own brand.
