How do all-metal locking nuts work?
Instead of a nylon insert, the nut body is deformed to create a prevailing torque that grips the thread — so it resists loosening from vibration and stays effective at temperatures that would soften a nylon-insert nut.
Can they be reused?
Yes — all-metal self-locking nuts can typically be removed and refitted several times while retaining locking performance, unlike single-use options.
